Agenda: Introductions and Recentering of Purpose

Brainstormed for new change idea:

• More electives for lower classmen

• Students showing up late for class

• Class options increased

• Teachers and students be more engaged with each other

• Offer more experiential/interactive activities in classrooms

• Establish and reinforce consistent systems of support

• Accept and acknowledge each student as an individual with different strengths, weaknesses, challenges, learning styles and craft an education that addresses these factors

• Center student and family voice

• Provide quality intentional support to teachers/staff and admin

• Have expectation of success

• 11th grade check-ins

• Easier access to honors and advanced diplomas

• Earlier school year start

• Encourage all students to take hard classes

• Teach students to be adults
