Objectives:

  • Recognize students that have exceeded OCHS science requirements

  • Elevate awareness of the importance of STEM education and careers

  • Engage with the community through science-related volunteer service

  • Provide additional science educational opportunities outside of class

Membership:

Members may participate in the meetings and activities of SNHS without meeting the GPA requirements.  However, in order to receive Honors designation at graduation, students must achieve the following:

Honors Standing Requirements:

  •  Sophomore standing and above with recommendation from science teacher

  •  Committed to 4 years of science and 1.5 credits of Honors or AP science

  •  GPA in science courses of 3.2 unweighted or 3.5 weighted

  •  Participation in at least three Science Honor Society activities each year
