Course Selections

  • Students will continue their development of reading comprehension, speaking, and writing

    through various fun stories, videos, activities and games.

  • Wilkommen zu Deutsch! German 2 builds upon the skills and vocabulary developed in German as we further develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, with an emphasis on real-life communication. Besides conversational skills and grammatical structure

    related to everyday topics, German 2 centers around the exploration of the culture, music, landmarks, food and famous people of German-speaking countries.

Course Selections

  • This is an advanced Spanish course for students in the Spanish immersion program and advanced students studying Spanish as a foreign language. Students forecasting for this course should be students in the dual immersion program who have taken Spanish 4, native speakers who are looking for an advanced course, or students who have completed AP Spanish. Students will review and expand reading and writing skills through grammar study and literature. Additional learning of Spanish culture and daily life will be emphasized. This course is conducted in Spanish.

  • The primary goal of AP Spanish will be to prepare students for success on the AP Spanish Language exam. Students will complete a thorough review of Spanish grammar structures and conjugations. They will also demonstrate proficiency in speaking, listening to, writing and reading Spanish. Students will be expected to: comprehend formal and informal spoken Spanish; to be able to read and comprehend Spanish literature and text; to have the ability to compose expository passages; and to be able express their ideas orally with accuracy and fluency. Students will take the AP Spanish language exam in May during spring term.
