  • Overview of Strategic Plan

  • Review of last meeting:  Share-out of team values (see below - notes from 1/25).

  • Team Direction: (Plan, Do, Study, Act)

    • Need to define our next  “change idea.”  It needs to be small and measurable.

    • Kelly categorized “values” based on the alignment with the quadrants from the district strategic plan (student success, student wellbeing, student self-efficacy, or community).  The majority align with student success.

    • Wrap-around:  Comments on how we interpret the ideas (share opinions) highlighted in green below- which topics are within the scope of what site council can influence?

      • Most of the discussion centered around defining “success” and how our school culture/systems play into this.  

        • Success includes failure, and does not look the same for all students.

        • All students should be encouraged to take challenging classes

  • Open Forum: Need to define roles & establish norms.

    • Length of term (4 year limit)

    • Stagger terms to ensure continuity

    • Code of conduct - Eugene’s code of conduct

    • Roles - need chair, co-chair, ...

    • Frequency of meetings - 3rd Thursday of each month @ 3:45

    • Determine method of communication to Board - previously discussed having a student do this.

  • Need to recruit new members

  • Need a site council chair
