National Honor Society
Meeting: NHS Membership Meetings are first Wednesday of every month
Presentation Room (F112).
7:30-8:15 am
National Honor Society is an organization that focuses on service, leadership, character, and scholarship. Membership is open to students in grades 10-11. Interested candidates must have an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher and a history showing their exemplary character through leadership and community service. Beginning their sophomore year, members must take at least one honors or advanced course every year. NHS members are also required to participate in community service in our school and in our greater community, while continuing to show dedication to their schoolwork. We believe that one person can make a difference in the lives of many.
Membership in NHS is not automatic, nor is it based solely on GPA. A faculty council evaluates the application in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Be as thorough as possible when completing your application.
