Advanced College Credit

OCHS Students have the opportunity to receive college credits for some of their high school courses through a dual credit program at Clackamas Community College called Advanced College Credit. By the time these students graduate from high school they already have a head start on college credits at a cost far below regular college tuition prices, saving both time and money when they start their next steps after graduation.

Specific courses at OCHS offer ACC Credits. Please refer to the list of eligible courses on the CCC website.

This program is a dual credit program with Clackamas Community College.

Registration is done thru CCC to receive college credit.

ACC program is opt-in, meaning students must register for the college credit in order to earn the college credit (if they receive a passing grade). If you are new to registration this term and/or need a refresher in ACC registration, and here are the top 3 things you need to know in order for students to successfully register in their ACC courses:

Registration Instructions (pdf)

1)   How to Register:

  • Step 1: New students apply to CCC at www.clackamas.edu/acc/register  to create an account by clicking on the ‘Programs at my High School’ application button.

  • Step 2: Students register for their ACC courses through Self Service. Attached are registration instructions. Translations of registration instructions as well as a step-by-step video walking through the process can be found at www.clackamas.edu/acc/register.

  • Step 3: Students pay for ACC fees (see instructions) unless they qualify for a fee waiver, then student contacts counselor to request waiver. Waivers will be processed at the end of the registration period.

 2)   How To Get Help with Registration:

  • Email & Phone: : The best and quickest way students can receive help is emailing accinfo@clackamas.edu. The most common things students need help with is password reset and accessing their CCC account, which is easily done over email. Students can also call 503-594-3499 but it may take up to 48 hours to receive a phone response, due to the high volume of calls received.

  • Phone/Zoom appointments: Students can make individual zoom or phone appointments to go through the ACC registration process. To make an appointment, email accinfo@clackamas.edu.

Registration and Costs

  • A fee of $10.00 per college credit.

  • Students may qualify for a fee waiver to waive ACC fees – see HS Counselor or ACC teacher for more information about fee waivers

  • Process for students who may have missed the deadline - info at https://www.clackamas.edu/acc/register
