The Plant Sale is almost sold out! Because of that, there will be NO plant sale in the Greenhouse Thursday, BUT there are a few extra plants in Ms. Cole's room, E204. Remaining plants include tomatoes, sweet peppers, hot peppers, and several types of flowers. Each plant is now 50 cents each. Get them while you still can!
This Saturday at 2pm and 7pm, come and see the Musical Theatre Revue in the OCHS Auditorium. This show is a compilation of musical numbers from different shows such as Wicked, Mamma Mia, The Book of Mormon, and many more! This is a free event, but donations are encouraged. Hope to see you there!
If you are interested in philosophy and politics, come join us after school for Philosophy Thursdays in room B205. This week we will be discussing the idea of "the good life": What does it mean to be "good," and what values ought we live for? Come join the discussion in room B205 on Thursdays.
AAPI Heritage Month:
Olympic diving champion Victoria Manalo Draves became the first Asian American to win an Olympic gold medal when she placed first in the 1948 London Summer Olympics’ women’s three-meter springboard event. She faced regular discrimination as a Filipino American when using a public pool, sometimes the pool would be drained simply because she used it to train. After her Olympic success, she opened a diving school with her husband. In 1969, she was inducted to the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
Have a great day PIOS!
