Students need to be at the Jackson Campus Gym at 6:00 pm

Mandatory Graduation Practice at Pioneer Memorial Stadium

  • Meet at OCHS Main Gym 9:30 am

  • Finish back at OCHS at noon.

  • Students must attend graduation practice in order to participate in Friday evening’s graduation ceremony

  • Dress appropriately for the weather - please leave caps and gowns at home

  • Graduation practice will be completed before lunchtime

DAY OF GRADUATION PARKING

Stadium parking lots and CAIS parking lots are not available until after 4:00pm

Graduation Tickets

  • Seniors must complete the Senior Checkout Form to receive tickets (given out at the May 27th Senior Class meeting) 

  • Graduation Tickets will be available for pick-up starting Tuesday, May 27th in the Main Office. 

  • Each graduating student is allotted 8 tickets for entry into the graduation ceremony.

  • Children age 2 and under DO NOT need a ticket for admission to graduation. 

  • When receiving the tickets, students will sign confirming they received their tickets.

  • Extra tickets are NOT available. If students need more tickets, they are encouraged to talk to their peers. The school does not keep a list for extra tickets.

  • Selling of graduation tickets is NOT allowed and students who violate this policy will lose the privilege of participating in the graduation ceremony.

Graduation Regalia

  • Students will be wearing graduation gowns and caps at the ceremony. Please wear graduation regalia to the ceremony as there is nowhere to change clothes and no storage for student items. 

  • Students will receive their OCHS Stoles at Graduation. 

  • OCHS fully supports ODE policies and practices that promote cultural autonomy and gives students the ability to wear items of cultural significance honoring their unique and diverse cultures. All culturally significant items (example: leis, serapes, tribal insignias, etc.) worn in addition to graduation regalia need to have been pre-approved by administration.

  • Students who show up on graduation day wearing items that are not pre-approved by administration will be asked to remove such items for the graduation ceremony. 

Cap Decorations

  • Submission deadline:
    June 3rd at 3:30 PM

  • Students will be allowed to decorate their caps - Guidelines.

Alcohol/ Tobacco Use

  • The use of alcohol, tobacco or other drugs is strictly prohibited at any school event. 

  • Any student under the influence of alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs will not be allowed to participate.  

Guests who need additional assistance

Wheel chair access is only at lower gate and families need to drop their guest off.

Enter thru lower gates. Seating is available for guests who need additional assistance and entire group may sit together.

FYI - there is no railing down the steps at the stadium. There are handrails to the left and right ends of the stadium.

ADA seating will be available on the track. We have over 700 seats on the track. 

Families are allowed to sit together but we do ask that anyone who requires ADA seating be allowed to sit in the ADA section on the track. 

Mobility Issues Drop Off:

Shuttle is available at the stadium located at 12th and Van Buren for all guests who need assistance to lower gate.

Van Buren Street

This street is only available for wheel chair access and the shuttle van.

Entire upper lot is reserved for ADA Parking


Bus Shuttles - Day of Graduation

Drop off at the stadium will be on 12th and Van Buren.
 

  • Due to limited parking at the stadium, OCHS will be offering FREE shuttle buses from the OCHS parking lot to/from Pioneer Memorial Stadium on Graduation Day.

  • Shuttle buses will start at 5:45 pm from the OCHS parking lot. 

  • They will run approximately every 15 minutes until the beginning of the ceremony. 

  • Shuttle buses will run for 1 hour after the ceremony to return spectators to OCHS. 

Guests who need additional Assistance

Shuttle is available at the stadium located at 12th and Van Buren for all guests who need assistance to lower gate.

Tuesday, May 27 - Mandatory Senior Class Meeting

  • Tuesday, May 27th at 10:45 am in the Auditorium

  • Seniors Checkout forms handed out at the meeting.

  • Information about last day of school, graduation practice, and the graduation ceremony to be shared with Seniors

Tuesday, June 3 - Seniors Last Day of School

  • Senior events all day including breakfast, Senior slideshow, Graduation Cap Decorating booth, BBQ lunch, yard games, OCHS Parade of Seniors at the middle schools, Senior Signature event and memory share!

  • Senior Sunset event at the end of the day

Friday, June 6th - Graduation Ceremony at Pioneer Memorial Stadium

  • Ceremony begins at 7:00pm - We will Start on time!

  • Gates open at 5:30 pm

  • Students need to be at the Jackson Campus Gym at 6:00 pm

  • With limited parking at the Stadium, we are anticipating traffic congestion the day of Graduation so please plan accordingly and utilize the Shuttle Buses (see below).

  • Graduates are to report to Jackson Campus Gymnasium at 6:00 pm. Graduates are encouraged to get dropped off or to carpool. 

  • Students should leave all personal belongings with their families. They will not be able to carry items with them during the processional and ceremony. Items cannot be left at the Jackson Campus Gymnasium as it will not be accessible after the ceremony.

  • All spectators MUST have a ticket. Children under 2 are allowed without a ticket unless they require their own seat

  • There are two entrances to the stadium, upper and lower. You can enter at either entrance. The ADA entrance is the lower entrance. 

  • All seats are first come, first serve. ADA seating is available on the track. 

  • The graduate processional to the stadium will begin at 6:50pm.

  • The Graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00 PM with Graduates entering the stadium at that time.

  • The ceremony is expected to last approximately 2 hours

  • Event will happen rain or shine: Ponchos will be available to graduates in the event of inclement weather. 

  • Event will be live streamed for families at home by Willamette Falls Media. Link available HERE

  • Water will be available for sale at the stadium. Cash is preferred. 

Graduation Photos

Order individual photo from Dorian.

These photos will be taken on the stage. Families should receive an email from Dorian, if not they can follow the directions thru the above link.
