What is Valedictorian & Salutatorian?

A valedictorian is the student who has the highest grade point average in their class when they graduate from high school.

A salutatorian is a graduate who finished with the second highest grade point average rank in his or her class. Only the valedictorian did better. Being the salutatorian of your graduating class is a great honor.
