Hey, are you interested in joining Oregon City's most successful spring sports team? There will be a preseason meeting for all interested track and field athletes on Thursday, February 20th, in Coach Thygeson's room, E109. The meeting will start at 7:50 AM. We'd love to see you there!
The results are in, and we have FOUR incredible winners for our Valentine’s "Guess the Amount of Candy" contest! A huge congratulations to Wyatt Davis, Elliot Lohbeck, Selma Jahnke, and Kaysn Paulson for their perfect guesses. They each guessed the exact number of candies, 97, and have officially claimed victory! Winners should drop by the library and tell Mr. Stull what book they would like him to buy! The staff winner is Marri Ashley who was 1 away with a guess of 96! Mrs. Ashley wins all the candy!!
In celebration of Black History Month here at OCHS, we will be highlighting famous figures of Black history during morning announcements throughout the month of February: “When you can do the common things of life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world.” - George Washington Carver George Washington Carver was a renowned scientist, inventor, and educator. He was the most prominent African American scientist of the early 20th century. His work with crop rotation and study of peanut crops still influences the fields of agriculture and botany today.
