  • In celebration of Black History Month here at OCHS, we will be highlighting famous figures of Black history during morning announcements throughout the month of February: “When you can do the common things of life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world.” - George Washington Carver George Washington Carver was a renowned scientist, inventor, and educator. He was the most prominent African American scientist of the early 20th century. His work with crop rotation and study of peanut crops still influence the fields of agriculture and botany today.
