Attention 9th through 11th graders! We are hosting 4 college field trips this year: Pacific University on April 7th, Portland State University on May 15th, Lewis and Clark on May 20th, and Oregon State University Engineering Expo on June 6th. If you are interested in attending, please pick up a field trip permission slip from the College & Career Center (F104), Kevin in E106 or Mrs. Thygeson in C112. Details about the trips can be found in Naviance and on the permission forms. Trips are first come, first served. However, priority will be given to students who are on track to meet the admission requirements for each school.
Seniors: Friday, March 21st is the deadline to add Late Arrival, Early Dismissal, and 5th period work experience to your schedule. Please contact your counselor if you would like this added to your schedule.
Stop by the bistro today for our St. Patrick Day specials - shamrock frappe, Irishman frappe, lucky clover lemonade, or an Irish charm mocha! And new to the menu--dirty sodas, we have 4 flavors to choose from! See you there!
Attention seniors! It’s time to leave your mark on this year’s Hall of Fame Page in the yearbook! We want YOU to be part of this fun tradition where your classmates get to vote for the standout stars of the senior class. How to Sign Up: Fill out the Hall of Fame Google form located outside of E-108. Please submit names by March 31. Here’s how it works: Only seniors are eligible to sign up and vote. You can vote for up to 2 people per question, so make your choices count! If you think you’ve got what it takes to represent the Class of 2025 in categories like, “Best Style,” “Best Hair,” or “Best Bromance,” now’s your chance to shine!
During the month of March, we will celebrate Women’s History Month.
Did you know the gender pay gap still persists? Despite the ever-growing number of women getting degrees, the gender pay gap has narrowed by less than half a cent per year since the Equal Pay Act was signed in 1963, according to Forbes. In 2020, women earned 84% of what men earned, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of both full- and part-time workers. The U.S. Census Bureau's most recent analysis of only full-time workers (2019) found that women earned 82% of what their male counterparts earned.
Have a great day PIOS!
