College Entrance Exams

Here are several options for students to take college entrance exams during their high school career. Here are options available to our students:

PSAT or preACT: These tests are available to 9th-11th graders and can offer insights to help students explore college options. Taking these tests can help you identify strengths and weaknesses in skills necessary for successful college study.

PSAT/NMSQT: Taken during a student's 11th grade year, this test can qualify students for the National Merit Scholarship Corporation programs.

SAT or ACT: Typically taken during the Spring of a student's 11th grade year or Fall of a student's 12th grade year, these college entrance exams are offered multiple times a year. Check your college's admissions requirement to see if SAT/ACT scores are required. Many colleges are eliminating this requirement for admissions purposes but it varies from college to college.

ASVAB: This career exploration program provides students with an opportunity to measure their skills and abilities. Using these scores, students can explore occupations for potenial careers and see how their skills match with the requirements of that occupation.
