NEW STUDENT AND STILL NEED A SCHEDULE?FORECASTING SESSIONS:

These sessions are for students who are new to the district. Students who attended Tumwata or Gardiner Middle Schools and forecasted in the spring of 2024, or new students who previously forecasted with an OCHS counselor DO NOT NEED TO ATTEND. 

For new incoming students entering 10,11 and 12th grades - we must have a transcript turned in with your enrollment paperwork or bring it with you to forecasting. You will not be able to forecast without a transcript.

FORECASTING SUPPORT SESSIONS:

Tuesday, August 20th,  8 am - 11:30 am and 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm.

This forecasting session is for NEW students to choose their elective classes for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a drop-in time for students who need additional support with forecasting.

Important Details for Start of School

Schedules: 2024/25 T1 Schedules:

Posted on Friday, August 30.

School Photos: Pictures will be taken on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 during the school day. Picture packets will be handed out to students in one of their classes before picture day.

Make up picture day will be Friday, November 1st.

School Supply List:  Students need - binder, paper, pens, pencils - other needed items are suggested from individual teachers in class.

Yearbooks: $65

Purchase early for best price and to be guaranteed a copy.

The price goes up to $75.00 12/12/24.

Lunch Schedule: What lunch do I take, 1st or 2nd lunch?

Lockers: If a student would like a locker for the 2024-25 school year please request one in the online PARENTVUE registration process.

Lockers will be assigned to students and the locker information can be found on StudentVue.

Textbooks: Distribution of textbooks for the 2024-25 school year will occur during the first few weeks of school.

OFF-CAMPUS LUNCH PRIVILEGE

This is for Juniors and Seniors only. If your student would like to leave campus during their lunch, an Off-Campus Lunch Privilege Permission form must be filled out, signed by student and their parent/guardian.

Forms will be turned into Accounting to receive the off campus sticker.

STUDENT FEES

Please see the 2024-25 OCHS Student Feesheet and visit the In Touch website to pay for student fees. Fees can be paid in August.

ASB FEES

Student Body cards serve the purpose of identifying students as members of the OCHS student body.  The ASB sticker fees provide funding for OCHS activities from which all students benefit.The ASB Sticker is $25 for the entire year. 

The payment of this fee also allows students free admission to regularly scheduled home athletic events and discounted prices to other Student Body activities including Dances and Plays. By purchasing the $25 ASB sticker, students will save $5 on each dance ticket, will save $4 on every home regular season athletic game they attend, and save $5 on each of our play productions. 

THIS ASB STICKER FEE IS REQUIRED For All Students participating in Athletics, Student Council, Honors Band, Master Choir, Speech & Debate and School Dance Royalty.

Parking on Campus

PASSES ARE REQUIRED FOR ANYONE PARKING ON CAMPUS. All students must submit a Parking Pass Application regardless of space location. The only designated parking is for staff, visitors, carpool, and handicapped.

1.  Spaces are first come, first serve for students who have submitted an application.  Starting August 1st, ALL STUDENTS will be able to complete a parking pass application. Parking passes will be available for pick up in the accounting office starting August 26th.

ALL PARKING ON SCHOOL GROUNDS REQUIRES A PARKING PASS.

    2. Violation of the rules listed below ay result in not being allowed to park in the school parking lot for the remainder of this school year and affect the eligibility of applying for a parking spot in the following school year. Student cars parked on campus without a valid parking pass, or cars parked in unauthorized areas, may be booted/fined or towed.  Parking lot fines are $20.  Towing may be upwards of $100.

    4.  Parking permits are $10.00 for all OCHS campus lot. There are no refunds if a pass is revoked.

2.  Actions such as the ones below, but not limited to, are subject to consequences per the Student Code of Conduct and/or loss of campus parking or other school privileges:

  • parking in the staff, visitor, or vanpool spaces

  • parking in a designated handicapped space

  • parking in a fire lane

  • parking next to painted curb

  • parking in driveway/entrance

  • parking on any landscaped area

  • reckless vehicle use

  • leaving an area, skip class and/or school grounds Intentionally & without permission

  • Improper disposing of trash

    Mentor Teams - now Monday Meetings

    are refreshed and revamped in the 2024-25 school year. We are switching over to Monday Meetings which will take place during 2nd period classes. We will be extending 2nd period to accommodate OCTV and Monday Meeting activities, which will take place during the last 30 minutes of 2nd period.

    Please be sure to check this link often over the next few weeks for changes because our routers are still updating routes as new students are being registered.  Small bus and van route drivers will be calling their families on Wednesday, August 28th with detailed route times and pick up locations.  As a reminder, please be sure to have your students out to their stops 5 minutes prior to their bus pick up time.  We look forward to another safe and amazing school year of transporting your students!

  • Meals at OCSD

    This school year, all of our schools qualified for free meals through the Community Eligibility Program (CEP).

    All students are able to receive school breakfast and lunch at NO COST.

    Additional meals and individual milk payments can be made by cash or check to the school or online at https://www.mymealtime.com/

    This will remain in place through June 30, 2028.

  • Reduce Fee Application

    This will offer discount opportunities for student and athletic fees, college applications, academic tests, and more.

    Only one application is necessary per family each year for all students attending school in the district.
