As we prepare for the new school year, we want to remind you that all students must remain on campus for lunch during the first two weeks of school. Off-campus lunch privilege is a great opportunity for our juniors and seniors. To ensure a smooth and safe start to the year, juniors and seniors who wish to have off-campus lunch privileges must first complete the necessary steps and paperwork. This includes purchasing a parking pass and submitting a completed Off-Campus Lunch Privilege Form and turning it into Student Services. These forms can be found on our school website. This process is essential for us to maintain student accountability and keep everyone safe.
If your junior or senior would prefer not to eat in the cafeteria during this time, please remind them to bring a sack lunch.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the well-being of our school community. We are looking forward to a great year!

The OCHS staff and this year's Link Leaders are excited to meet our 9th graders on Tuesday, September 2!
Our new students will start the day in the main gym with a welcome assembly, then will move on to small group sessions with their Link Leaders -- which will include a campus tour! School lunch will be provided, then students will be able move through a very short version of their class schedule before returning to the gym for a closing assembly.
Backpacks and other school supplies are not necessary on this day -- and make sure that personal electronic devices are stored and out of sight for the day!

School Photo ID: Friday, September 12, 2025.
Parents can order online at mydorian.com before picture day and up to 4 days afterwards. Linked here are detailed instructions for editing and downloading your picture day reminder.

📢 OCSD is committed to keeping your students safe.
In celebration of National Night Out we'd like to share our Standard Response Protocol (SRP)! Stop by our booth and test your knowledge tonight!
We use the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) districtwide so that in any emergency, students and staff know exactly what to do.
This graphic shows the five key actions everyone on campus is trained to follow:
🔒 Hold – Stay in place, clear the halls
🚪 Secure – Lock outside doors
🚨 Lockdown – Locks, lights, out of sight
🚶♂️ Evacuate – Move to a safe location
⚠️ Shelter – Use safety strategies for hazards like weather or chemical spills
👨👩👧👦 Reunification – A safe, organized process to reunite students with families after an emergency
We’re sharing this information to help students and families feel safe and confident in any situation. These six clear, consistent directives help students, staff, and first responders respond in an emergency.
By sharing this plan with our parents and community, we’re working to build trust, promote transparency, and create a stronger, safer school environment for every student.
