career spotlight

Oregon City High School is pleased to bring back our Career Spotlight Day. We are seeking industry and community leaders to share their experience and expertise with students about their career and/or business. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about different career paths after graduation and what it will take to pursue those careers.

WHEN:     Thursday , April 9th, 2026 from 10:30AM - 12:10PM

WHO:     You, a person interested in sharing about your occupation with high school students.

WHAT:    OCHS Career Spotlight Day

WHERE:  19761 S. Beavercreek Rd., Oregon City, OR 97045

HOW TO SIGN UP: Sign up here in our google form or
Email Erica.Frafjord@orecity.k12.or.us

We will be utilizing our school’s FLEX TIME for this event so you will only have time for one (1) presentation of approximately 40 minutes which should leave time for questions and answers at the end.

Students are curious about different careers and what it takes to be successful. Sharing your experiences can help them decide if that career path is right for them.

IDEAS FOR YOUR PRESENTATION

- Describe your business and workplace environment.

- What events led you to this career or career pathway?

- What education or skills are needed for this career (pathways)?

- What is a typical day like for this career?

- What are the employment opportunities in this career now and in the future? Are internships available?

- If so, what skills or qualifications are needed?

- What are the steps or classes to take, as high school students, to prepare for this career?

- Identify some of your favorite aspects of your career.

- What are some of the most difficult or challenging aspects of your job?

Thank you for taking the time to consider this request to present to our students! We are grateful for your support and involvement!
