Miss Oregon’s Teen 2025 and Future Legal Trailblazer: Oregon City’s Mila Pearl Earns Top 11 Placement at Miss America’s Teen

Orlando, FL – September 7, 2025 – At just 17 years old, Mila Pearl of Oregon City High School is proving she’s more than Miss Oregon’s Teen 2025—she’s a scholar, performer, leader, and advocate who’s already making an impact on the national stage.

This month, Mila proudly represented Oregon at Miss America’s Teen in Orlando, Florida, where she made history and earned a Top 11 placement with her vocal performance of “Not for the Life of Me”. This marks the first time Oregon has ever placed in the Top 11 at Miss America's Teen. Along with the more than $5,000 in scholarships she had already received through the Miss Oregon Scholarship Program, Mila earned an additional $3,000 scholarship for her placement.

Strong Academics and Big Ambitions

Mila is a senior at Oregon City High School with a 4.20 GPA, National Honor Society membership, and leadership roles including Media Manager for her school’s Black Student Union. After graduation, she plans to study Criminal Justice, attend Yale Law School, and pursue her dream of becoming a private criminal defense attorney—a role where she hopes to defend rights, challenge injustice, and provide a strong voice for those in need.

A Voice for Service and Connection

Her Community Service Initiative, “Fill A Plate,” focuses on ending hunger by working with organizations like Feed The Hungry, where she has volunteered since 2012. She is passionate about ensuring families have consistent access to nutritious meals.  Beyond service, Mila values respect, unity, and connection in a divided world. “It’s important that we explore ideas that challenge us,” Mila says. “We need to show respect while we listen and converse with others who are different from us.”

A Hardworking Representative

“Mila has been an inspiration from the very beginning of her journey with Miss Oregon’s Teen,” said Cindy Owens, Teen Director for Oregon. “Her dedication, kindness, and talent make her an incredible role model for young people across our state. We are so proud of her accomplishments and can’t wait to see what her future holds.”
