At 6:30 a.m., cadets at Oregon City High School’s Army Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps are already hard at work.
In the school gym, they move through choreographed, synchronized military drills with precision as they prepare for their third straight appearance at the Army JROTC National Drill Championships, set for May 1 in Daytona Beach, Florida.
They’re practicing for perfection. https://www.oregonlive.com/living/2026/04/these-oregon-high-schoolers-wake-up-at-630-am-to-perfect-military-drills-and-theyre-heading-to-nationals.html

The 2026 gallery is bursting at the seams with 230–250 masterpieces (depending on the day!) representing every school district in the county. At a time when student artists have fewer venues to display their work, this show provides a high-profile "moment in the frame" for these talented creators.
Meet Our Artists
We are incredibly proud of the three fine-arts students representing OCHS this year:
1. Lydia Strawser
2. Olivia Shanley
3. Ivan Chebykin
